Join yoga and meditation teacher, Emily Rose, for a one hour introduction to mindfulness meditation and the power of awareness.
What the ancient yogis and masters taught about the nature of our minds is now being well documented by science to show that regular meditation can have amazing benefits for our overall wellbeing, including in the areas of stress, chronic disease, sleep, pain, relationships and focus.
Emily will provide a brief overview of the background and science of the mindfulness style of meditation and lead the group through both a breath awareness and compassion meditation practice, rooted in the Buddhist tradition.
This session is suitable for all. No prior meditation experience or specific beliefs are required for this simple and accessible practice.
