Each moment of our lives, from birth to death, our brains are engaged in an endless symphony of patterns or brainwaves. In Exploring Your Mind, we’ll take a quick tour through the four types of brain waves that are busy every day within your mind and look at recognising the cues that will help ‘guide you’ during meditation.
Through these small insights, you can come to understand how and why your brain responds to meditation.
Through the simple practice of meditation, many people go on to improve their everyday focus, memory, concentration, and overall mental awareness.
The brain-wave patterns of spiritual teachers, artists, high-performing businessmen, athletes, and other highly creative and productive individuals shows us that there are things we can all do to move toward a high-performance mind.
In this introductory workshop, Sharon provides a glimpse into your own mind. She’ll also take us through a series of meditation exercises specially developed to lead you to achieve that heightened mental state referred to as the Awakened Mind.
By the end of this training participants will be able to:
1. Be introduced to know the different brainwaves and why knowing about them helps to achieve a meditative state
2. Think about daydreaming and understand its importance
3. Start to find their own ‘cues’ for dropping into meditation
4. Learn a few neat hacks to ‘calm the farm’ in your own head
